This hooded scarf is made from thrifted fabric to combat textile waste! Double lined for warmth and stiffness, this piece has 3 layers of 100% cotton thrifted fabrics. Free-motion machine embroidery is like drawing with a sewing machine! The drawings are not translated digitally to the fabric by the machine, but rather I draw my design onto the fabric and trace my drawings by hand with my free-motion embroidery foot on my sewing machine. The result is a loose, sketchy pattern! This hood does not slouch but rather sits with structure and coziness around the face.  This whimsical Babushka Hood can be tightened as a hooded scarf on a windy day, pushed back as a stylish hood indoors, or worn loosely as a euro babe living out a red-lipped fantasy in the countryside 😉 NOTE: This piece is made from a low thread-count cotton on the outer layer, with an ultra-soft egyptian cotton as the liner for a gentle feel against the skin. However, the outer layer is highly prone to wrinkling, creating a casual look.
